We started the Diaspora Chronicles blog to discuss important topics related to Africans living in the diaspora, our objective is to share information bringing value to businesses, careers and personal wellness of those in the African community.
The blog covers three main categories:
- Business and Entrepreneurship – Discuss how a few businesses got started, lessons learned, as well as financials. In addition, we address information on other business opportunities based on new trends and shifts in the economy.
- Career Development – We delve into different industries, expected salaries, education requirements, certifications. We discuss the importance (or not) of getting graduate degrees such as an MBA. Is being a doctor really the best way to make money professionally?
- Personal Wellness – Robust discussions on money vs. happiness. Identify what really drives us? Is it money, comfort, legacy, status? Discuss the issue of mental health, student loans and a lot more.
